FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

Intentional Spaces is a trauma-informed, identity-affirming therapy practice offering individual psychotherapy for adults and teens across Washington State. We provide virtual sessions tailored to support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, grief, life transitions, and relational challenges. Our clinicians draw from approaches such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy to meet each client’s unique needs.

What are your practice's specialties?

The therapists at Intentional Spaces specialize in trauma, identity exploration, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, religious deconstruction, neurodivergence, anxiety, and relationship challenges. Many of our clinicians have lived experience in the communities they serve and offer care that is culturally responsive, anti-performative, and deeply attuned. We have a particular interest in supporting clients navigating complex trauma, family of origin issues, and late-in-life self-discovery.

Why should I choose your practice?

Intentional Spaces is unique in its commitment to non-performative, identity-affirming therapy that centers lived experience, cultural nuance, and relational safety. Our clinicians offer more than just training — they bring deep personal insight and authentic presence to the therapeutic space. We meet clients where they are, honor the complexity of their stories, and create space for healing that is grounded, collaborative, and transformative.

How does payment work at your practice?

At Intentional Spaces, we are in-network with a variety of insurance providers, including Aetna and First Choice Health, and we offer sliding scale options. We are happy to verify your benefits and submit claims on your behalf. For those paying out-of-pocket, we can also provide superbills for potential reimbursement. We’re committed to making the process as smooth and transparent as possible.
