Welcome to the Rising Tides counseling center, where you'll find a safe space to explore your emotions, thoughts, and well-being. We are here to support you towards mental and emotional wellness. Our team of experienced counselors is committed to providing compassionate care.
At Rising Tides, we believe in the power of healing and growth. Our approach is centered around empathy, respect, and understanding. We offer a range of therapeutic services designed to meet your unique needs, including individual counseling, couples therapy, family counseling, and group sessions.
Rising Tides Counseling Center was founded by Sage Goodwin and Shelley Beaudoin in 2023. In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the heightened awareness of mental health challenges has underscored the crucial need for more therapists in our community. Recognizing this need we collaborated to create a center that would be healing for both the clients and the therapists within it. We strive to create an environment in which support, compassion, and care is the cornerstone of the therapeutic experience, ensuring individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered in their path to well-being.
We realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor our therapy to meet the specific needs of our clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or any other issue, we will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
Our practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families and we offer comprehensive services
Rising Tides Counseling Center offers thoughtful, personalized psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families seeking meaningful and lasting change. Our services include individual therapy for insight and emotional growth, couples counseling to strengthen connection and break negative patterns, and family therapy to improve communication and understanding. We specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to deepen relationships, along with trauma-informed approaches such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support healing and integration. We also offer group therapy and secure virtual sessions, providing flexible, high-quality care tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Clients often choose Rising Tides Counseling Center because the care feels both highly skilled and deeply personal. As a private-pay practice, sessions are tailored, allowing for meaningful, focused work rather than surface-level support. Therapists are trained in evidence-based approaches and prioritize understanding each client’s emotional world and relationship patterns at a deeper level. The environment is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative, with an emphasis on genuine human connection, not just techniques. Whether working individually or in relationships, clients are supported in a way that feels attentive, intentional, and designed to create lasting change.
At Rising Tides Counseling Center, we operate as a private-pay practice, which allows us to offer more personalized, flexible, and in-depth care. Payment is collected at the time of each session, making the process straightforward and transparent. While we are not in-network with insurance companies, we provide detailed superbills upon request that clients can submit to their insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. This approach gives clients greater control over their care while still allowing them to access insurance benefits when available. Fees ranging from $150-200 depending on service and provider.
