Dylan Sacks is a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Chicago, IL. He works with young adults and adults who struggle with mental health challenges like work stress, OCD, anxiety, or depression. Often, these clients feel overwhelmed with the pressures of their daily lives, and they aren’t sure what to do to feel more in control. This can be especially true when facing major life transitions, disability, or health issues. Dylan also works with couples who would like to improve their relationship, learning how to talk vulnerably and resolve conflict in thoughtful, compassionate ways.
Dylan’s approach to therapy draws from his comprehensive professional training with exposure and response prevention therapy. This therapy modality is useful in helping people with OCD or anxiety to decrease the distress raised by specific triggers. He also utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), including with couples. This is an evidence-based type of therapy that builds strong, healthy connections.
Dylan earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a certified rehabilitation counselor and has over 10 years of experience working with clients. His practice centers around the idea that people are resilient and deserve to live a comfortable life.
