Ivy Askew works with people who feel stuck in anxiety, self-doubt, or relationship patterns that are hard to shift. Despite being insightful and capable, many find themselves overwhelmed or disconnected from their needs. Whether you’re carrying the weight of past experiences, struggling in relationships, or simply feeling off in your life, Ivy offers a supportive space to explore what’s happening and begin meaningful, lasting work.
Ivy’s approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. She draws on EMDR, Parts Work, Polyvagal Theory, and attachment-based therapy to help clients better understand themselves and feel more grounded. She’s deeply compassionate, but also honest and direct when needed. In sessions, she helps clients uncover patterns that no longer serve them and work with the nervous system to build clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
In addition to her clinical work, Ivy has been a certified yoga teacher since 2007, teaching privately and at international retreats and trainings. She integrates elements of Katonah and Hatha yoga into therapy when helpful—using metaphor, imagery, and body-based tools to support healing in a way that feels both practical and intuitive.
Ivy sees adult clients virtually across New York State. She welcomes those who are ready to reconnect with themselves, do meaningful inner work, and create a life that feels more aligned and steady.
