Professional statement

I offer individual, couples, and family therapy with a focus on supporting transgender people ages 13 and up. Whether you're navigating identity, relationships, trauma, parenting, or simply trying to exist in a world that often misunderstands you, I aim to create a space where you can show up fully, as you are, without needing to educate or defend yourself.

My practice is grounded in relational and anti-oppressive values, which means I bring curiosity, humility, and collaboration into therapy. I believe healing happens in relationship, both in the one we build together and in the relationships that have shaped your life and history.

In our work together, I will support you in getting to know the different parts of yourself, including the ones that feel stuck, protective, reactive, or hidden. We will explore how your past shows up today, not to pathologize you, but to bring compassion and clarity to old patterns. I will also help you connect with your values and inner wisdom so you can make choices that feel more aligned. In relationship work, I guide partners in slowing down, tuning in to each other more deeply, and repairing when things feel fractured.

Many of my clients come to me carrying grief, anger, numbness, or confusion. You do not need to have a polished story or a clear goal. My job is to help you make space for your truth, even the parts that feel hard to say out loud or to fully understand yet.

My work is especially informed by my own lived experience as a queer and trans person, and by a deep commitment to helping others find meaning, connection, and self-compassion in the midst of systems that often do harm.

Message to clients

Starting therapy, especially as a trans person, can feel like a risk. You might be wondering if you’ll have to explain yourself, if you’ll be truly understood, or if it’s even okay to bring all of who you are into the room (or video call). I want you to know that you don’t have to shrink yourself here. I will meet you with care, clarity, and curiosity, not with judgment or assumptions.

I believe that therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship. That means I will be present with you not as a blank slate, but as someone who listens deeply, reflects honestly, and honors the complexity of your experience. I welcome your grief, your rage, your joy, your numbness, and the parts of you that are still taking shape.

Whether you're coming in with a specific goal or you're just trying to stay afloat, we can move at your pace. My hope is that our work helps you feel more connected to yourself and more resourced in the world around you, whatever that looks like for you.
