Kate Moschandreas is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Boston, MA. She works with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges. As a relational therapist, Kate helps clients understand how past and present relationships shape mood, behavior, and sense of self. She helps her clients explore patterns — often rooted in early family relationships — that can leave people feeling stuck. She strives to help her clients feel "unstuck," working toward greater clarity, connection, and change.
Kate’s approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. She aims to create a space that feels safe and supportive while helping clients do meaningful, honest work. She draws from psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In her work with couples and families, she also uses Gottman and Imago approaches, as well as communication skill-building.
Before studying counseling and becoming a therapist, Kate earned two master's degrees in public policy and theology from Harvard University. Those studies deepened her awareness of systemic injustice and her appreciation for the role spirituality can play in people’s lives — perspectives that continue to inform her clinical work.
