Professional statement

Dr. Lindsay Solfelt is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in Eagle, Idaho, who works with individuals and couples navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and the complexities of parenthood. Many of her clients are high-functioning, thoughtful individuals who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves despite outward success. She has a particular focus on supporting women and parents during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as couples seeking to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and deepen their connection.

Dr. Solfelt’s approach is collaborative, active, and grounded in evidence-based care. She integrates modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients better understand their patterns, navigate emotions, and take meaningful steps toward change. Her style is warm, honest, and relational - balancing insight and skill-building with a focus on helping clients live more fully in alignment with their values, rather than attempting to eliminate difficult thoughts or feelings.

She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Regent University and has advanced training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Reproductive Mental Health. As the founder of Kindling Therapy Co., Dr. Solfelt is passionate about creating a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. Her work is informed not only by her clinical training, but also by her lived experience as a mother, which brings an added depth of understanding to the challenges many of her clients face.

Dr. Solfelt offers in-person sessions in Eagle, Idaho, and provides telehealth services for clients throughout the state. She works with adults and couples and offers individualized care tailored to each client’s goals, values, and stage of life.

Message to clients

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you’re already feeling overwhelmed or stretched thin. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and reconnect with yourself in a more grounded way. Whether you’re coming in as an individual or as part of a couple, we’ll work at a pace that feels supportive and realistic for your life.

In our work together, I take an active and collaborative approach. I’ll help you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, while also offering practical tools you can begin using right away. At the same time, I value creating a space that feels honest, compassionate, and free of judgment. You can show up exactly as you are, whether things feel messy, uncertain, or even hopeful, and we’ll navigate it together.

My hope is that through therapy, you begin to feel more like yourself again - more connected, more confident, and more aligned with what matters most to you. Change doesn’t happen all at once, but with intention and support, it becomes possible. I’d be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
