Lindsey Echevarria, LMFT, works with adults and couples who are navigating relational patterns that feel repetitive, confusing, or difficult to change. Many of her clients identify as highly sensitive, neurodivergent, or grew up in family environments where emotional needs were overlooked, minimized, or met with inconsistency. Lindsey supports individuals moving through people-pleasing, chronic self-doubt, identity uncertainty, and the lingering impact of past relational wounds. In couples work, she helps partners move away from blame-driven dynamics and toward shared accountability, emotional presence, and communication that reflects respect and clarity.
Lindsey’s approach is relational, collaborative, and depth-oriented. She works with clients to slow down emotional and nervous system responses, explore underlying beliefs and patterns, and build greater self-awareness and self-trust. Her work integrates family systems theory, psychodynamic insight, attachment-based frameworks, Internal Family Systems (parts work), Emotionally Focused Therapy principles, and trauma-informed care. Her style is warm, steady, and direct. She reflects what she notices in the room without judgment, while maintaining a grounded and supportive therapeutic environment.
Lindsey holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has provided therapy in both community clinic and private practice settings. She has completed additional training in trauma, attachment, couples therapy modalities, and relational healing. Her clinical work is informed by a deep respect for the complexity of family history, identity development, and the emotional realities that shape how people relate to themselves and others.
Lindsey offers individual and couples therapy via secure telehealth throughout New York. She sees clients weekly or biweekly and prioritizes creating consistency within the therapeutic relationship. Daytime and early evening appointments are available. She is currently accepting new clients.
