Zack believes that mental, emotional, and spiritual health are just as important as that of our physical bodies. Accordingly, he uses individualistic and systemic perspectives, and is equipped to do so with a faith-based foundation, if it suits the client—the goals and preferences of the clients are central to his process.
He earned his undergraduate degree in social work as an academic scholarship student at Texas Christian University (TCU). While there, he participated in the John V. Roach Honors College program and graduated summa cum laude. Afterwards, he enrolled at The King’s University in Southlake, Texas, where he first earned a graduate certificate in biblical studies with high honors, then a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree with high honors.
Zack approaches the counseling relationship from a perspective of finding and leveraging meaning, purpose, and fulfillment for all areas of life. To do so, he implements holistic and integrative sensibilities that generally incorporate a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, and eclectic elements from a broad range of other evidence-based counseling approaches. His areas of practice expertise include working with anxiety and depression, anger and coping skills, couples/relationships, pre-marital counseling, parenting, children/adolescents (particularly those who have experienced trauma and manifest significant behavioral issues), addiction, grief, phase of life problems, spirituality, and spiritual abuse, and a wide range of other therapeutic needs.
