At Pinnacle Counseling, we know that reaching out for therapy is a big step—and we’re here to meet you with warmth, clarity, and a deep respect for your individual journey. Based in the Chicago area, we’re a group practice offering psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families of all identities and backgrounds. Our clinicians are deeply committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore what’s working, what’s not, and what’s possible.
What makes us unique is our direct and active approach to therapy. We believe in partnering with clients to clarify what they want out of life or their relationships—and then holding them accountable for doing the work to get there. That means we don’t just sit back and listen. We ask questions, offer feedback, and help clients break out of unhelpful patterns so they can make real, sustainable changes. Our team is diverse in experience and style, but united by shared values: respect for difference, a commitment to ongoing learning, and a belief in meaningful, lasting change.
Pinnacle Counseling provides therapy for adults, couples, teens, children, and families, with both in-person sessions at our Chicago offices and secure telehealth options available across Illinois, Vermont, Texas, and Florida. Our clinicians offer support for a range of needs, from short-term solution-focused work to longer-term exploration and growth.
At Pinnacle, we specialize in helping people navigate the complexities of relationships—whether that’s with a partner, a family member, or within their own internal world. Many clients come to us feeling stuck in patterns that play out in connection with others, and we work together to build insight, improve communication, and create more fulfilling dynamics. We also support individuals facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, identity development, life transitions, and past trauma. Our clinicians bring particular expertise in working with LGBTQ+ clients, new parents, first-generation individuals, and those navigating cultural or systemic pressures.
Most of our clients don’t come in knowing what kind of therapy they need—they just know something needs to shift. That’s where we come in. We take the time to understand your story and help you find a path that feels right, balancing compassionate support with practical tools. We're not here to push an agenda—we’re here to help you get where you want to go, at your pace, with intention and care.
Before your first session, we’ll verify your insurance benefits so you know exactly what to expect financially. If you’re using insurance, you’ll only be charged your portion (copay, deductible, or coinsurance) at the time of your session. We handle all insurance claims behind the scenes, so you don’t have to. If you’re paying out-of-pocket, we collect payment at the time of service. We also offer a sliding scale for clients who need financial flexibility.
